Stock market recommendations: Mphasis, Supreme Industries, United Spirits, and Kfin Technologies are the top stocks to buy that Somil Mehta, Head of Retail Research, Mirae Asset ShareKhan has recommended for August 18, 2026:Buy Mphasis at CMP; Stop Loss: Rs 2415 on a closing basis; Target: Rs 2610-2650The stock broke out of a multi-month consolidation in August 2026, also crossing above its 200DMA. Over the past few sessions, it’s been consolidating just above the breakout point and the 200DMA.Once this sideways move resolves, the stock should break past its recent high of 2556 and head toward the 2610–2650 zone in the coming sessions. The bullish view stays intact as long as it holds above the 20DMA, currently placed at 2415.Buy Supreme Industries at CMP; Stop Loss at Rs 3470 on a closing basis; Target: Rs 3750–3825The stock has broken out of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, signaling a positive shift in trend. It crossed above the 20DMA in Monday’s session, while the daily momentum indicator turned bullish after a positive crossover on Friday. This mix of improving price structure and strengthening momentum points to further upside. On the upside, the stock could move toward the 3750–3825 zone in the coming sessions. The bullish outlook holds as long as it stays above 3470 on a closing basis. This should serve as the key support and stop-loss for traders.Buy United Spirits above Rs 1548; Stop Loss at Rs 1500 on a closing basis; Target: Rs 1620–1650The stock broke out of a medium-term resistance line toward the end of July 2026. Since then, it’s been consolidating above the falling trendline, forming a trading range of 1500–1548 in the short term.A close above 1548 would signal that this consolidation is over and the next leg of the up-move has begun, potentially taking the stock toward the 1620–1650 zone. The bullish view stays intact as long as the stock holds above 1500.Buy Kfin Technologies at CMP; Stop Loss at Rs 938 on a closing basis; Target: Rs 1020–1060The stock broke out of a small consolidation on Friday, and on Monday it closed above the 200-day SMA. It’s also started forming higher tops and higher bottoms after a prolonged downtrend, which is a sign of a possible trend shift.Adding to the positive setup, the daily momentum indicator gave a fresh bullish crossover on Monday. Together, this suggests the long downtrend may be over and the bulls are stepping back in. The stock should head toward the 1020–1060 zone in the short term.(Disclaimer: Recommendations and views on the stock market, or any other asset classes or personal finance management tips given by experts and analysts are their own.
